Forgotten Event

Today as I was driving home I realized that I think I failed to tell you all about a mystery of Congo. So, when the police transport prisoners they put them in a shipping container with small slats at the very top of the container. A few weeks ago the transport truck came up from behind us and pushed its way into the oncoming traffic. What is terrifically interesting about this is that the prisoners dropped plastic bags down on strings and none other than the police who lobby for bribes and are otherwise a pain in our rumpus when trying to get the last 100 yards home are the ones who place a few francs in the sacks. We asked our driver one day, why? "Because that is just how it is done." The prisoners need money to eat once they get to prison and the police pay that money out in bribes...a very strange system! I saw the prisoners truck again tonight and thought....I totally need to blog today!
