Romance

So the secret is out and official. I was wooed by Coach (official name: Alain Bomans) and we have been dating now since October. This takes my love of boxing to a whole new level LOL. Anyhow, the details for the inquiring minds:

1. He will be 40 this year, never married, no little kiddies of his own.
2. He has a work ethic that blows mine into a million pieces.
3. He is skinnier and shorter than me but it is okay because I only wear sneakers or flip flops so height is not so noticeable. I am hoping that he will get me in shape to be more in line with his skinniness.
4. We spend most of the time together and he is slowly being introduced to the American community. This is a tough thing given that right now he does not speak English though he has been teaching himself and is getting better at reading and listening. He does get embarrassed about speaking.
5. He has a huge family and I have met most of the brothers, sisters, nieces, nephews, in-laws, and his mother. A challenge since while most speak french they choose to speak lingala only. It makes for a long uncomfortable meeting when I can't understand a word. But, I am studying lingala so one day, one day!
6. I have submitted his security clearance application -- I know a critical action for some of my boyfriend wardens. It takes a while to complete but action taken.

I have posted a picture on Facebook for those who have not yet seen:

What was the deciding factor that he should be a keeper? When I was burning up with 100+ fever he bent over backwards to try to make me comfortable, sat with me all night long while I sweated out the fever, and came to the hospital every morning and every night for 1-2 hours each time, oh yeah and he took care of Samuel the cat. On that last note, Samuel has taken to Alain and now we have couch time which is complicated by two humans and cat trying to squeeze onto one small sofa.

And for the inquiring minds: so long as he can find work he has no issue trailing me around the world. So, life is good.
